It is indicated for the reduction of elevated intraocular pressure in patients with open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension. Dorzolamide works by inhibiting carbonic anhydrase in the ciliary processes of the eye, decreasing aqueous humor secretion, and thereby lowering intraocular pressure. The solution is clear, colorless, slightly viscous, and free from particulate matter. It is supplied in a 5 mL LDPE bottle..
